1. Download PICO-8.7z.

2. Open/Extract the .7z archive. You can use 7-Zip to do this.

3. Inside the 7z archive, you will find a folder called PICO-8. Copy this folder to /__rpg/ui (or /__aio/ui for AKAIO) on your flashcart’s SD card.

4. Place the SD card back into your cart, and boot into the cart.

5. Press the START key to open the AKMenu/WoodR4 start menu popup, then select Settings.

6. Set the theme to PICO-8, then press A to save, and A again to restart.

Additional Steps

This theme requires additional steps to install due to using a custom font.

1. After following the instructions above, navigate into the PICO-8 folder in your ui folder on the flashcart’s SD.

2. Open the Theme_Data folder, and find the pico-8.pcf file.

3. Copy pico-8.pcf to /__rpg/fonts (or /__aio/fonts for AKAIO) on your SD.

4. Copy the PICO-English folder from Theme_Data to /__rpg/language (or /__aio/language for AKAIO)

5. Boot into the cart and open settings. Set the language to PICO-English.
